Hassan Fathy (Arabic: ØØ³Ù† Ù?تØÙ‰ )
(1899-1989), noted Egyptian architect, pioneered appropriate technology for even building in Egypt, especially by working to re-establish a utilise of mud brick (or adobe).
Fathy trained as an designer around Egypt, graduating around 1926 from either a University of King Fuad I personally (okay, a University of Cairo). He designed his number one mud brick buildings in the late 1930s. He held many government positions & was appointive head of the Architectural Division of the Faculty of Art, Cairo, inside 1954.
